About Goldenrod Manor

Goldenrod Manor is a Nursing Home located in the small town of Clarinda, IA. At Goldenrod Manor we have an open door policy and strive to create a home-like environment to make the easiest transition into the Nursing Home. Our facility currently consists of private and semi-private rooms that have been recently remodeled. We encourage all new residents to bring personal belongings from home-such as: recliners, pictures, etc.

The focus at Goldenrod Manor is on rehabilitation and recuperations. We help our residents recover as much functional ability to regain independence from day #1! Nursing Services are available 24/7 from licensed staff under the supervision of our Medical Director. Individualized care plans and a handi-capped van for transportation for doctors' appointments are also available.

Our highly skilled team of professional caregivers provide skilled nursing care services for a variety of medical conditions. We also offer an in-house therapy program with an amazing group of therapists. We provide 1-on-1 Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy 5 days a week, to help our residents recover from recent hospitalizations, stroke, hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery and much more. Our meals are provided by restaurant style family dining. At Goldenrod Manor our kitchen is always open, and we have a wide variety of always available options for residents to choose from. Our Dietary Team works directly with each resident to go over likes and dislikes and makes sure all needs are met, including special diets.

We offer several daily activities to keep residents engaged and active. Activities include religious services, monthly resident council meetings, crafts, cooking class, exercise, birthday parties, sports games and brain enriching trivia. Other amenities are an open dining room, TV in each room, therapy room, social services room, patio for outdoor enjoyment, and our beauty shop.

A private hospice room is also available for any families facing end-of-life circumstances. Our staff are trained to provide assistance and guidance during this time of need. We work together to with local Hospice companies to make sure our residents and families are comfortable at this time.

24-Hour Skilled Nursing Services

We have a state-of-the-art Therapy Gym we are able to provide all residents with rehabilitation 5 days a week. Our Therapy team works with residents to improve their Activities of Daily Living a promote as much independence as possible. The therapy department individualizes each resident to come up with the best rehab program for you.

We offer services for Medicare Residents to be able to rehab to home after:

Hospice

Hospice care in the Nursing Home provides you and your family with an extra layer of support during difficult times. Hospice care includes expert management of pain and other symptoms, spiritual counseling, care planning and grief support.

We contract with different local Hospice companies:

-St.Croix Hospice

-Asera Care Hospice

-Care Initiatives Hospice

to provide the best quality care when needed! Our Hospice companies offer several services for residents, families and staff, such as, Massage Therapy, Musical Therapy, Chaplain Visits, Grief Support and Counseling, Trained Volunteers, and a full range of CNAs, Nurses, and Physicians.

Additional Services we coordinate are: dietetics, pharmacy, psychologists services, podiatry care, audiology, eye-care, and dentistry.
